Too busy to take a long course? Spark your creativity with one-day of artmaking. These classes are offered in partnership with the museum’s Connie Towson Ford Teacher Resource Center.

January 26: Drawing from Sculpture
10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (lunch on your own)
Using sculpture as inspiration, explore a variety of drawing techniques in media such as charcoal and various pencils including conté crayon and pencil. Investigate curriculum connections and ways to explore these techniques with your students. $100 ($80 for CMA members).

March 16: Serial Prints
10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (lunch on your own)
Roll up your sleeves and explore a variety of ways to produce a series of images by hand and with the use of a printing press. Techniques will include linoleum printing, Styrofoam, and monoprints. Investigate curriculum connections and ways to explore these techniques with your students. $100 ($80 for CMA members).
